Vasectomy Dangers! Why You Need to Avoid This Surgery!
Odd as it might sound, there are many men these days, as in decades past, who for all intents and purposes have decided to get their tubes tied. There are many reasons a man might actually decide to do this. The most common reason however is that they want to stay sexually active without the risk of impregnating their partner.
There are other ways to stop this, however; the partner could simply use birth control, or perhaps the two could explore other methods for preventing stopping pregnancy. What you should know though is that you should avoid a vasectomy at all costs. Sure, it might sound like a good idea right now. After all, it is a way of permanently stopping the flow of sperm, but there are also many vasectomy dangers that you need to know about before you make such a decision.
Aside from it being a permanent change that you may or may not be able to take back, there are a number of other things to consider. Some of these include major health complications. If you’re not worried yet then you should be. Some of these complications can be disastrous, not to mention painful.
Have you ever heard of a granuloma? You might know that they have to do with swelling, but do you know exactly what causes them? When the vas deferens is cut off, this will stop sperm from reaching the scrotum. Unfortunately, sometimes sperm will start leaking into that tissue and cause lumps to form. This will cause large amounts of pain and sometimes even swelling.
You will also have to worry about unilateral epididymal blowouts, which is a condition where the tubes burst after being tied. Two percent of patients are supposed to suffer from this condition within ten years. Think long and hard, is that really something that you want to risk?
The last one that we will cover is the body’s autoimmune response. This is where you have your tubes tied, and because the sperm is still produced, it does not have an exit strategy. It will get backed up and your body will determine that the sperm is a germ or disease. It will try to fight it off and will put pressure on your testicles. If you’ve ever squeezed one of your testicles then you know how much pain this can cause. Is this a pain that you want to experience constantly?
These are just a few of the vasectomy dangers that you will need to worry about. You are free to have this procedure done if you so desire, but you are advised to look into alternative methods before you opt for this surgery. The procedure is unnecessary and, in my opinion, dangerous. Hopefully, the future will be a brighter place where common sense is placed above convenience and where the morals of medicine are restored or revised.
